Gris des Bauries is a small winery, located in the medieval village of Taulignan, encircled by fortified walls which are now inhabited.

The name of the domaine refers to the "bories", little stones houses shepherds used to spend the night in, or store equipment.

​

Patrick's birthplace, near the village, is named "Bauries". It is said this name was wrongly written by some officials sent from Paris to do the mapping of Taulignan and couldn't master the local accent! We liked this story and chose to keep this northern spelling.

Our vines are cultivated with passionate care in the rolling hills overlooking the Rhône valley.
